MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
 

One (1) year of experience in the maintenance and repair of buildings, plumbing or mechanical equipment.
 

Requires possession of a valid Driver’s License.

NOTES:
 

Working hours will be Monday through Friday from 8am-5pm.

JOB DUTIES:

Cut grass, trim hedges, prune trees, edge and clean walks, maintain outside premises. Perform maintenance and minor repairs on ground maintenance equipment. Responsible for removing trash and other debris throughout the market grounds, around fences and ponds.

Maintain condition of paint throughout the markets exterior and interior of all buildings. Refresh paint on asphalt for parking and traffic control.

Sweep, mop, scrub floors; wax and polish floors and furniture; dispose of trash and wash windows. Maintain bathroom facilities in a clean and sanitary condition.

Edge asphalt using tractor and bucket to keep overgrowth to a minimum. Maintain lighting on exterior of buildings not associated with leased power poles.

Perform other related assignments as directed by the supervisor.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
 

  • General principles of carpentry, electricity and plumbing.
  • Skill in using hand, power and bench tools.
  • Ability to do some heavy lifting, to communicate effectively, to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
  • Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments.
